About the event
The Baskets & Buddies Program is designed for individuals with special needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, to enjoy the game of basketball in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Participants will learn fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, teamwork, and sportsmanship while improving physical fitness, confidence, and social skills.
The program welcomes athletes of all ability levels and focuses on participation, encouragement, and personal growth. Practices are adapted to meet individual needs and emphasize fun, skill development, and teamwork. Coach and staff provide guidance and support to help each athlete succeed and feel valued as part of a team. No prior basketball experience is required!
