About the event
Baskets & Buddies is a basketball program for individuals with special needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, in a safe, supportive, and inclusive setting. Participants learn dribbling, passing, shooting, teamwork, and sportsmanship while building fitness, confidence, and social skills.
Practices are adapted to each athlete's needs and focus on participation, encouragement, and personal growth. Coaches and staff help every athlete succeed and feel like a valued part of the team. No basketball experience is required.
Dates: Fridays, December 4 – 18
Time: 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Location: La Villita Community Center
Ages: 6 – 15
Cost: $10 per month
What to bring: Athletic wear, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
